You'll be envious and with good reason - or perhaps just thankful...the weather is on our side and spectacular. We began today by taking a 20mins walk down the beach to visit the Aquarium (and gift shop :-)
The students were amazed by what they experienced - even those who had been before, and we all took dozens of photos. Once we had wandered through the main part, there was turtle feeding at a new enclosure outside, with a commentary about the several species of turtle on display. The students have been trying their language skills but the presenter kindly translated some of the important points into English.
Unsurprisingly the aquarium gift shop did very well out of our group.
After lunch and an extended session in the hotel pool we hopped onto the Tchou Tchou train for a tour of Noumea. The commentator was highly animated and the tour took us up a few of the highest peaks around the city to enjoy the view. It was the perfect time to do the tour which helped understand the history behind Noumea and get a feel for the lay of the land.
